What shibori is

Shibori is a resist-dyeing technique. Cloth is tied, folded or clamped before it goes into the dye, and the bound sections resist the colour. The result is soft, organic patterns, usually in indigo and tonal shades. It is slow work, and that shows in the finish.

Wash separately for the first few washes, gentle hand wash in cold water, and dry in shade. This protects the hand-dyed colour and keeps it from bleeding onto lighter pieces.
