If the Indian landscape was depicted by is myriad forms of craft, it would be a vibrant multitude of hues and shades of connotation, reflective of its centuries old skilled craftmanship. Morbagh : A collection which is a celebration of India's diverity as well as the myths and legends and comes from layers and layers of beautiful thoughts and deep inspiration from our crafts and Indian ethos.
A collection redefining traditional embroideries and motifs with Indo - Modern vision. Traditional hand printed and embroided textiles come together with bold geometric patterns, indian floral and bird motifs,striking contrast accents and contemporary silhouettes.
The key element of the collection lies in the development of the solid as well as hand block, hand screen printed textiles with resham, ari, gota, marodi embroidery and hand twisted patwa strings. Hand made tassels, buttons and textures enhance the ensembles.
The silhouettes are inspired by rural India but designed as per the taste of todays woman : India Modern. The collection consists of Peplum tops, capes, overjackets, asymmetrical dresses, sarees, skirts, kurtas and lehengas.
The color palette consists of navy, teal , red , rose pink and pigeon grey with shades of yellown and orange as accents combined with gold.
The fabrics used are banarsi silks, chanderi, linen satin, linen stripes, cotton silk, modal silk and fine khadi mulmul.
